Job Description and Goals:
A Career Advisor offers individual career advising and the tools necessary to assist students and alumni with internship, co-op,
research, graduate school, and full-time job searches with a focus on creating successful career outcomes. The Career Advisor is responsible
for developing positive relationships with students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, parents, and other constituents. A Career Advisor
may assist with one or more of the following areas: Communications: large, small and individual presentations, newsletters, social media,
websites, advertising, student manual, reports; Undergraduate Experiences: internship/co-op tracking, administers career inventories, career
readiness and preparation programing; career related curriculum/course development and delivery; Diversity & Accessibility: international
student career preparation & programming, assisting students with various levels of accessibility needs, and assisting with diverse student
populations and initiatives. Pre-Professional & Graduate School: assist students with graduate school applications and testing, coordinate
pre-law and pre-med preparation and programing (GRE, GMAT, LSAT etc.) Data Tracking: assist with data collection, data tracking points, and
report development.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Valid driver’s licenses required; acceptable MVR (motor vehicle report)
Education: Master’s degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education, Human Resources, Student/College
Counseling, Leadership Development, or related field preferred. Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience in career development, career counseling, recruiting, human resources or college admissions
preferred; Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. required; Experience with database management, Power BI, career services
software, graphic design, web tools, and social media is preferred; Polished presentation and oral communication skills required; Excellent
writing skills required
