Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of decorative and functional building products. We are experiencing exceptional growth, and as a result, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help with recruiting and hiring.
Purpose: We are hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist with full cycle recruiting responsibilities, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. The ultimate responsibility of our Talent Acquisition Specialist is to ensure Rugby attracts and hires the best employees. This position serves as Talent Acquisition Specialist for a region consisting of 17 branches in the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruiting.
· Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy for the region, with input from the Talent & Retention Manager and Eastern Regional Vice President.
· Identify future hiring needs in collaboration with branch managers, regional managers, and hiring managers.
· Research fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability and demand in a particular market or job category.
· Attract candidates using various sources and methods.
· Ensure job descriptions accurately describe job expectations.
· Assess, screen, and interview candidates, scheduling follow-up interviews as appropriate.
· Build influential candidate relationships during the selection process, acting as point of contact for hiring managers.
· Promote Rugby’s reputation as a great place to work.
Hiring.
· Check references and credentials to verify candidate’s experience.
· Work with both the manager and the candidate to complete all pre-employment tasks, to include assisting the manager in negotiating the offer of employment.
· Manage all pre-hire tasks in our applicant tracking software to ensure timely start dates.
On-boarding.
· Assist the new employee in the completion of their on-boarding tasks, ensuring that they understand appropriate policies and local procedures.
· Check in with the employee inside their 90-day introductory period, attempting to remove obstacles to their growth.
General Responsibilities:
· You are a Human Resources professional monitoring labor market trends and applying best practices in the region.
· You provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports, outlined by the Talent & Retention Manager.
· You maintain and ensure compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity and related employment laws and regulations.
· You manage regional Talent Acquisition with a mix of remote work and occasional travel.
The ideal candidate:
· has recruiter experience, is well versed on different interview methods,
· is familiar with applicant tracking systems (iCIMS) and job boards,
· has excellent written and verbal communication skills,
· possesses fantastic interpersonal skills,
· has a great attitude: encouraging, positive, and realistic about applicants.
