An International Traffic Supervisor will coordinate the daily global logistics operations for international customer orders. Will work closely with S&C team members from other areas like shipping/packing, assembly operations, production planning, International Inside Sales, and Global business units. This position will engage in the necessary internal processes to release cargo from domestic and international S&C Electric locations, arrange bookings and transportation with different carriers and 3PL partners, and complete required shipping and banking documentation (Letter of Credit) in compliance with S&C/customer/government/banking/country requirements.
You will require personal organization, communication, problem-solving, proactivity, and teamwork to succeed in this assignment . It will also require keen attention to detail, personal motivation, the ability to adapt to changes, and a willingness to learn.
Must be well-versed in international freight terminology, compliance policies & procedures for import & export shipments—knowledge of INCOTERMS and how these dictate the handling and responsibilities of an international shipment.
As special situations arise beyond S&C’s control to avoid, we may require product shipments on holidays, weekends, or other nonstandard working hours to fulfill our customers’ needs.
