Job Description

We are seeking a copywriter who’s passionate, curious, and constantly exploring new ways to elevate the creative through stories that help turn shoppers into buyers. This writer will work closely with the art direction and project teams to create and execute concepts and own specific copy deliverables. This includes copy for in-store retail signage and displays, promotions, retail online marketing, and social media. Your creative will live in physical retail environments as well as digital. Typical project may include improving retailer PDPs, SEO, banner ads, print POP, and “big ideas” campaign initiatives. It also includes other activities that lead to meaningful shopper experiences and or education related to the products and brand. The copywriter is expected to demonstrate ownership in contributing to the development of ideas, content, and copy and create polished, final deliverables. Must be someone willing to stay on top of trends in our brands’ categories, competitive brands, and the physical and digital retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with creative team members to explore and create conceptual copy directions and defined go-to-market copy deliverables.
• Working with senior creative or project leads to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with the brand and retailers’ tone of voice.
• Interacting with project teams to understand business objectives and shopper audience
• demographics.
• Working from creative briefs and under the direction of senior creatives to translate strategy into compelling ideas and effective copy
• Demonstrating SSX’s high quality standards across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required• 3-5 years in an advertising or marketing agency (traditional or interactive) preferred
• Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking
• Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles
• Successful experience in marketing and e-commerce writing
• Expertise in strategic brainstorming, campaign development and creative execution
• Acute attention to detail within tight turnarounds and demanding deadline

Compensation Range: $64,000 – $75,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
