SAIC is seeking a Knowledge Management Engineer to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
This position can be worked 100% remote.
Job Description:
Knowledge Management (KM) 80%
- Conduct activities related to the KM processes to include, but not limited to: content analysis, document management, data capture, shared storage locations, process workflows, data warehousing, decision support, and information dissemination.
- Analyze and integrate information from customer, Program Management Office, and Agile development teams to facilitate easy access, sharing, and dissemination of information with internal business partners and external customers.
- Support KM systems utilized by CM, the Program Management Office, and Agile teams.
- Train and educate front-end users of the KM tools.
- Develop reports, as required, to support operations.
- Write knowledge content as required, and prepare presentations for management as needed.
- Monitor key measures of success and facilitates development of controls with business partners through streamlining processes and system automation. *The majority of KM tasks are conducted at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level.
Configuration Management (CM), 20%
- Backup to the Project CM Lead
- Assist with the following:
- Development of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and other CM documents.
- Creation and management of documentation within the PLM system.
- Monitoring and reporting on the status of CM activities.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to digest and organize large amounts of data.
- Excellent written and spoken communications skills.
- Expertise with MS Office, including Teams and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Knowledge of CM standards.
- Knowledge of software and hardware CM principles and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Maintains a Knowledge Manager certificate from an appropriate institution.
- Experience or familiarity with DOORs Next Generation, Cameo Systems Modeler, Aras Innovator, and PTC Windchill.
- Knowledge of Technical Data Packages per MIL-STD-3100.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Clearance:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Target salary range: $125,001 – $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
