We are looking for a Part Time School Health Nurse to help us provide health services to participating schools.
As a School Health Nurse, you will plan and implement care for students with complex health needs, as well as provide direct care and education to the overall student body as needed. You will be responsible to help develop and implement health policies and procedures, and also be a resource to faculty and staff for health and first aid education. In addition, you will serve as a liaison between the school, community agencies, and professionals dealing with the health and learning needs of students.

The Particulars:
This is a great position for working parents as it follows the school schedule – day shifts only and holidays and school vacations off! There is an ever increasing need for school nurses, which brings great potential to increase hours.
General Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, preferably in pediatrics or community health.
• Program development and school health or pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• National School Nurse Certification preferred.

License/Certification:

• Licensed in State of Idaho as an Practical Nurse (LPN) and as defined by the State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
• Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.
