Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person’s own home or in one of our five Twin Cities communities: New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Robbinsdale and Woodbury.
Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.
Responsibilities
Provide Therapeutic Recreational opportunities that meet the psycho-social well-being and interests to residents on a fast-paced Long-Term Care Neighborhood. Work closely with IDT team members, manage a RAI caseload that includes assessments, care plans, MDS and recreational attendance recording. Work closely with colleagues within the Community Life Department to provide campus experiences and opportunities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy or related therapeutic field of study preferred. Certification as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or in related discipline preferred. ADC certification preferred but not necessary.
– OR –
Two year degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program; current certification as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and registered with the State of Minnesota Department of Health as an Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred.
