Job Purpose:
The School Based Mental Health team provides strength based, trauma informed community-based services.  The Child and Family Therapist is an integral part of the service team providing psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and supportive collateral services to youth and families in a community setting.

Duties:

• Provide community-based individual and family therapy to children at Boys and Girls Club (BGC) site in multiple locations in Milwaukee
• Develop and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the client, his/her parent(s) or caregiver
• Effectively support clients and families through therapeutic relationships
• Collaborate and support with BGC site leaders and staff
• Eligible for training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC); Mental Health First Aid and multiple evidence-based tools for assessment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s level LCSW , LPC, or equivalent preferred LPC-IT or APSW may be considered (supervision of clinical hours provided)
• Bilingual candidates encouraged
• Experience providing individual, child, group or family therapy in a community setting preferred
• Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organization skills

Position Details:

• Full-Time with afternoons and some evenings required
• No-on call or weekend hours
• Flexible schedule
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle and meet agency auto insurance requirements
• Reports directly to Clinical Supervisor
• Reimbursement for mileage
• Bilingual stipends
• Newly renovated office space
• Primarily placed with the Boys and Girls Club
