Salad and Go is seeking a Vice President of Sourcing and Distribution who will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our sourcing and distribution operations. This position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure efficient sourcing of food products or materials and seamless distribution to our Stores and Food Production Facilities. The VP of Sourcing and Distribution will be instrumental in driving cost savings, enhancing supplier relationships and maximizing customer satisfaction through streamlined logistics and delivery processes.

Core job duties and responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure the availability of high-quality food products or materials at competitive prices.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and distribution strategies aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
• Lead sourcing, inventory management, order fulfillment and transportation logistics, with a critical eye toward optimizing the supply chain activities.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance sourcing and distribution processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Mitigate risks associated with sourcing and distribution activities, such as supply disruptions, quality issues or regulatory compliance by implementing appropriate measures and contingency plans.
• Provide effective leadership to the sourcing and distribution teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and high performance.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to track the effectiveness of sourcing and distribution activities, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, finance, production, operations, and development to ensure alignment of sourcing and distribution strategies with overall business objectives.
• Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to sourcing and distribution, and proactively apply this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards in all sourcing and distribution activities, promoting a culture of integrity and responsible business practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years in a senior leadership position, with proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and distribution/logistics
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing high performing teams
• Organized, solutions oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize to meet objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication that builds solid, professional internal and external relationships
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, perform root cause analysis and make data-driven decisions
• Influential, strategic thinker who is highly collaborative and naturally curious
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Must be willing to travel to visit supplier partners.
