The HR Strategic Communications manager will drive internal communications to inform our employee population about key organizational updates, policy changes, department or organization-wide initiatives, engagement opportunities, trainings, and more.
This role will partner with Head of Talent & Learning, as well as with key stakeholders in the C-Suite, senior leaders, and others to ensure communications are sent in the proper tone, at the proper time, in the proper medium and to the proper audience for smooth reception by employee population.
The right candidate is capable of building a new internal communications function from scratch; strategizing at a 30,000-foot level while also zooming in to operate on day-to-day low hanging fruit.
Role and Responsibilities
Create a cadence and method for delivering timely notifications to employees via email, Slack and team meetings, with a keen sense of when to use each tool based on the message and audience
Effectively plan and execute NASB town hall meetings with stakeholder input, key messages, deck design and meeting logistics. This would require synthesizing exec talking points, planning the calendar invites for the session and prep meetings, leading the task force, and working with the creative team for design consistency across all assets and more
Support leadership execs by positioning and drafting their individual statements. Must have excellent writing skills.
Communicate new product launches and initiatives to Samsung teams globally (Samsung Ads, BD, CorpComm, SEA, HQ SBT & more)
Communicate key updates to the NASB team including important dates/deadlines, HR correspondence, recent hires, office protocols, and org updates
Deploy quarterly summaries of our big wins as a team with an update on overall success metrics. Create a year-in-review sizzle video to summarize our advancements and key initiatives
Facilitate 1:1 and group sessions related to key initiatives, trainings, quarterly and annual events
Comfortable communicating with all employee populations, from C-Suite to new hire
Skills and Qualifications
6+ years of experience in internal communication, HR or PR experience.
Exceptional attention to detail, active-listening skills, and an ability to synthesize
Must possess a high degree of sensitivity and operate with a sense of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partner with team members at all levels
The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and programs
Ability to make professional presentations and to communicate in writing complex matters to an audience of high technical skills and operational experience
Comfort with complexity and ambiguity when things are undefined
Expertise in MS Office Suite required; with an emphasis on Outlook and PowerPoint
Must be able to independently design templates and create beautiful, polished decks for presentation
Must be proficient in all tools/programs for marketing collateral and distribution, especially Keynote/G-Slides, Slack, Google Docs, Survey Monkey, Outlook, WebEx, Braze/MailChimp, etc
Must be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to juggle tight deadlines and multiple priorities simultaneously
The salary range for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY is expected to be between $130,000 and $145,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
