Medical Billing Manager

Job Description:

Santé is looking for Remote Medical Billing Manager that will work remotely under minimal supervision and will manage revenue optimization, billing activities and revenue growth. The Medical Billing Manager is responsible for managing accurate, timely completion and submission of all the billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions for one of our Sante Arizona locations.

Job Duties:

· Responsible for the management of the billing and collection efforts, which includes billing primary and secondary, Medicare A & B, Hospice, Workers Comp, Private pay and Managed Care, via paper or electronic means according to payer specific rules.

· Direct the implementation and enforcement of billing policies and procedures, as well as day-today billing operations for multiple facilities.

· Maintain and manage the daily census in Accounts Receivable software; includes accuracy verification of all census and financial information.

· Direct AR monthly private-pay aging review with facility Administrator and Corporate AR Manager. Implement agreed upon actions for aging.

· Post cash receipts and adjustments.

· Track, communicate and collaborate with facility designee(s) at the properties to follow up on and execute tasks, such as primary/secondary payer information, missing or incomplete items, etc.

· Prepare and complete AR month-end close, including Cash Reconciliation, Billing, etc.

· Facilitate and manage the bi-monthly Triple Check process.

· Reviews reasons for denied claims; develops and executes procedures to reduce denials.

· Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience and Attributes:

· Minimum of (5) years’ experience in Healthcare Billing Collections required.

· Minimum of three (3) year experience billing Medicare A

· Strong ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions.

· Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.

· Able to prioritize, plan, and provide direction.

· Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) billing required.

· Medicare Part A & Part B, Commercial, Medicaid and co-insurance billing required.

· Must be a self-starter, organized and detail oriented.

· Understand billing edits and ability to resolve and/or make recommendations

· Able to interpret and implement Medicare and commercial payer guidelines.

· Excellent understanding of Medicare A and commercial billing regulations.

· Navigate computer databases to obtain eligibility information.

· Work well under pressure of deadlines and in diversified work environments.

· Must demonstrate strong communication skills in both verbal and written format.

· Professional attitude and work ethics.

· Familiar with Computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

· Experience with Point Click Care – PCC software a plus, but not required.

· High school diploma or GED, required.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
