SCHOTT AMI Hiring for HR Generalist at Tempe, AZ Full Time

Located in Tempe, AZ, SCHOTT AMI develops biotech substrates for diagnostics applications. SCHOTT AMI seeks a part-time (20 hours per week) HR Generalist to be the site’s HR leader and employee interface. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, the chosen candidate will provide and support the entire employee lifecycle. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Your Contribution
• Lead recruitment efforts including scheduling interviews, contacting references, and reviewing and selecting candidates
• Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees as it relates to health and employee-relations
• Responsible for benefits, employee onboarding/offboarding, internal communications, and vendor relationships
• Prepare paperwork, facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, and coordinate with cross- functional departments
• Handle all operational and administrative tasks for onboarding and offboarding utilizing HRIS platform
• Handle updates to all employee files including compensation, time tracking, and benefit changes
• Responsible for employee handbook and organizational chart
• Troubleshoot and resolve benefits related problems and ensure effective use of plans and positive employee relations
• Support variety of HR programs evaluating and planning HR needs and trends
• Research and respond to questions from managers and employees regarding HR policies and procedures
• Responsible for coordinating I-9 documentation as well as handling all employee background checks
• Understanding of relevant markets, strategies and HR solutions
• Responsible for HR laws/practices ensuring compliance/regulatory issues are up to date
• Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking skills
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with the use of technologies and computer applications (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to be self-directed and work both independently and in a team
• Ability to develop, manage and coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to create reports and spreadsheets

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $41,243.00 – $68,860.00 per year
