How You Will Make Contributions That Matter….

• Comply with all company and regulatory sanitation food quality and food safety standards, as well as employee safety and environmental standards.

• Efficiently perform established cleaning and sanitation activities of various packaging equipment (i.e. conveyor belts, packaging lines, inserts, guillotines, utensils, product and spice bins, etc.) and rooms (walls, ceilings, doors, floors, drains, etc.) to ensure optimal cleanliness; identifying and communicating any out-of-spec conditions.

• Work closely with plant leadership on sanitation problems; proactively recommending suggestions to improve sanitation procedures and overall program effectiveness.

• Responsible for meeting or exceeding established quality and sanitation standards, objectives and timelines; cross-training and rotating through all functions as instructed.
• Effectively communicate with department, plant and company personnel to ensure safe and effective sanitation operations and processes are upheld.

• Neatly and accurately complete assigned paperwork, including: Master Sanitation Cleaning Lists, and any other departmental records deemed necessary.
• Prepare cleaning and sanitation chemicals and properly measure and dispense cleaning chemicals; wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined. Ensure all chemical containers are properly labelled and identified.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You….

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1+ years of demonstrated work experience within the food industry (food manufacturing/dairy manufacturing setting desired)

• Reliable, honest, and respectful

• Ability to multi-task, self-direct, self-motivate

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Committed to food safety/quality and customer satisfaction

• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and non-verbally

• Strong work character

• Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes, but not limited to: standing/walking on concrete, noise, changing temperatures (hot, cold, wet, humid), routine bending, stooping, twisting, pushing and pulling, lifting 20-40 lbs., climbing stairs, maneuvering around/under manufacturing equipment throughout shift
