Sea Machines is a fast-growing startup specializing in autonomous technology for marine vessels. We are passionate about applying practical A.I. to the massive global ocean transportation market. Our products provide ships and workboats the intelligence to work remotely and give maritime operators the tools to effectively communicate with them. Based in Boston and operating globally, the company is crewed by an experienced team of mariners, engineers, coders, and autonomy scientists.
Sea Machines is venture-funded and we’ve introduced our first product, the Sea Machines 300. We have just made history with our Machine Odyssey voyage in which our intrepid tug the Nellie Bly accomplished a 1000 Nautical Mile autonomous journey! We are also partnering with Rolls Royce on Smart Ship and Autonomous Ship Control Solutions. Right now is a great time to join this amazing company and be a part of revolutionizing the marine industry with technology!
We are seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our existing software team working on advanced autonomy software for our next generation of marine products. The candidate will work on existing technologies, including git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Containers, Dockers, AWS, GCP, etc. The candidate will also have opportunity to work on our vessels and make sure our retrofit software which is a combination of crew interface, autonomy system, perception system, and controller, is independent of vessel manufactures. The candidate will work closely with the user interface team, autonomy team, system team, artificial intelligence team, and customer support team .
