Position Summary

Salary range for this position is: $99,500/yr. – $136,024/yr. (depending on experience)
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
The Dean is a service-oriented unit administrator who is skilled in relationship and partnership building, as the position supports instructional operations across multiple programs, as well as establishes and fosters educational excellence at Seattle Central College. The Dean will manage and lead the Seattle Colleges Institute of English (SCIE), including an Intensive English program and a College Bridge Program, both of which support international students. Also, the Dean leads the Basic and Transitional Studies Division (BTSD), English as a Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education, GED, Learning Center Seattle, the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander serving Institutions Program (AANAPISI), Integrated Basic Education Skills and Training (IBEST), the BTS Transition Center, a tutoring program, and off-site programs, all of which support resident students.
As Dean, you will provide leadership for positioning the division strategically within the institution and the community, and you will sustain and develop community partnerships. This work includes responsibility for overall planning, development, compliance reporting, renewal, and revision of academic programs and services to ensure meaningful academic outcomes, and program quality, effectiveness, and financial viability.
This position is Full-time, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday primarily 8-5. The schedule may vary depending on program needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
