South Seattle College’s Professional Technical division is seeking a Dean of Transportation, Manufacturing and Advanced Technology (TMAT) to lead the Aviation, Automobile Technology, Diesel, Welding, and Business Operations/Project Management Support programs into the future. The TMAT Dean is a full-time exempt position that reports to the Vice President of Instruction and is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the TMAT pathways, including existing and emerging programs and technologies such as e-vehicles.
As the senior administrator of the TMAT areas within the division, you are accountable for the divisional instructional programs and tasked with build and supervise a diverse team of faculty and staff to successfully support TMAT program, faculty and student success. You work collaboratively with faculty, staff, the campus, and community stakeholders on fiscally sustainable strategic planning and development, operational effectiveness, oversight for all curriculum, program accreditation, and learning standards, and development and implementation of TMAT and other key workforce initiatives. To be successful in this position you should be committed to enhancing and supporting students, faculty, and staff and implementing South’s Anti-Bias Anti-Racist (ABAR) mission, and the ability to exhibit a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You should have the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.
This is an on-campus, in-person role with some options for occasional remote work.

Salary range for this position is: $91,730 – $109,202 depending on experience.
