North Seattle College is looking to hire a Full-Time Tenure Track Mathematics Faculty member.
Salary Range for this position is $80,659.00 per year for an annual 9-month contract (September – June), with additional increases upon reaching tenure, as well as opportunities for summer teaching and moonlights during the regular academic year.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT.

The North Seattle College Mathematics Department is a highly engaged faculty group energized by improving student outcomes for all students. The department is in the midst of creating more accessible and student-centered options including a guided self-placement tool, co-requisite courses, and an OER homework system. The department collaborates with other academic programs to offer math instruction in multiple languages. While not a required qualification, candidates with the ability to teach math classes in Arabic, Somali, or Spanish are particularly encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2024, in the Math & Sciences division of North Seattle College. Primary teaching responsibilities include pre-college and college level math, applied math, and statistics courses. The Math Department offers a variety of instructional modalities such as synchronous (in-person and virtual), asynchronous (online), and hybrid and supports the extensive use of technology. Class times vary and may include days, evenings, and weekends according to program needs. All full-time faculty are expected to be available to teach in-person classes, as needed. Note that the Seattle Colleges District does not sponsor work visas and does not reimburse relocation expenses incurred by new hires.
