Essential Function:
The Account Manager will oversee Security Officers as they perform various unarmed security duties set forth in the Post Orders and other
written guidelines. These orders will include among others, emergency response, patrols, escorts, control
of building access, crowd control, dispatching, incident reporting and deterring loitering and trespassing on
the Wells Fargo premises.
1. Required Qualifications:
a) Minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of, or a combination, of the following:
i. Military (Officer/Non-Commissioned Officers/Career/Military Police/Military Elite Forces)
ii. Law Enforcement (Police Academy Graduate)
iii. Correctional Facility (Correction Officer)
iv. Documented, formal, leadership training through one of the disciplines or accredited university programs (PLDC/BNCOC/ANCOC, OBC/OAC, LEELP).
v. Experience as a current security supervisor assigned to the Wells Fargo account, or at a facility requiring a high level of security similar to existing positions at Wells Fargo
vi. An associate’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university in a security related field such as: Criminal Justice, Security Administration, Homeland Security, or Fire Science. Such degree will count as one (1) of the two (2) years required experience.
*Supervisors must have been in good standing when employment ended such as an honorable discharge from the military.
b) Documented instructor certification through a certifying agency (Unarmed Guard Trainer, CPR).
c) Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others and employ coaching and problem-solving techniques.
d) Previous formal training in management, human relations, interpersonal communication skills, labor and criminal laws, and emergency response.
e) Proven experience with management/evaluation/development/motivation of staff.
f) Demonstrated experience with analyzing information, staffing coordination, tracking budget expenses, scheduling, and dealing with complexity.
g) Possess effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and recognizes the need for communicating differently with different people.
h) Ability to manage subordinates through the transmission of values, standards and culture with an understanding of their influence on others.
Additional Responsibilities Required of Supervisor; Advanced Supervisor; Security Manager; and
Advanced Security Manager: In addition to the attached Post Orders and those additional
responsibilities described above, Vendor Personnel assigned to these positions may be required to
perform any and/or all of the following job functions at assigned Wells Fargo Facilities:
1. Demonstrate proficient knowledge and ability to train on all security systems
2. Allocate work responsibilities among subordinates effectively
3. Enforce all safety, security, policies and regulations, including emergency incident management
4. Assemble and issue reports and summaries as necessary
5. Certify that Facility security and energy savings processes have been completed as required (e.g. lock or unlock doors, lights turned on or off, etc.)
6. Maintain records and files as required by Wells Fargo policies
7. Spot check and audit assigned Facilities, at least quarterly, to ensure all Vendor Personnel are meeting Wells Fargo’s requirements
8. Provide support for any projects involving security processes, procedures, or systems at the Facility
9. Conduct quality control analysis of security operations and administrative functions; take immediate corrective and remediation actions when performance does not meet standards
10. Control consistency of procedures and any required compliance regulations
11. Update policies and procedures when required
12. Serve as the on-site security representative for the Facility
13. Develop and train subordinate supervisors/Vendor Personnel as required. Appraise their performance and implement action for merit raises, transfer and termination
14. Ensure Vendor Personnel training is conducted as required
15. Analyze operational/system requirements and prepare detailed written reports and recommendations concerning adjustments in both operational and administrative procedures
16. Ensure the proper and timely handling/reporting of all security incidents as defined and directed by Wells Fargo
I) Basic Microsoft Office software computer skills.
J) Basic knowledge and understanding of security systems, including access control systems, alarm monitoring, closed circuit television systems, telecommunications systems, video surveillance and fire monitoring equipment.
K) Must have working knowledge of state and local laws, criminal laws, and any other laws that pertain to the duties performed by the Security Officer.
L) Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
M) Have been examined and certified by a licensed physician or surgeon to meet physical requirements necessary to properly fulfill the Security Officer’s responsibilities in this Statement of Work.
N) Security Officers will demonstrate physical fitness for assigned security job duties by completing a physical fitness assessment meeting the following requirements. This list is not intended to be all inclusive and additional assessment activities, as determined by the Vendor, may be required in order to ensure individuals can perform all requirements of this position. Security Officers will pass a physical fitness assessment every two (2) years to re-
certify their compliance to these requirements, and both the initial assessment and all re-tests will be documented and attested to by a member of the Vendor’s management team. Documentation will be maintained for a period of 3 years and is subject to audit by Wells Fargo. The ability to meet these requirements is based on the need for Security Officers to be physically able to provide timely response related to life-safety incidents, visual observation in
order to be alert to potential unsecured/unsafe conditions during patrols/surveillance/monitoring, hearing ability to detect minor sounds/disturbances, as well as hearing over a telephone or hand held radio and other activities related to access control and crime prevention.
O) Ability to promote good customer service and exhibit a polite and professional manner at all times.
P) Basic ability in assessing suspicious individuals/situations and responding appropriately.
Q) Understands the importance of knowing when and how to escalate issues.
R) Active listening skills.
