Position Summary
Perform administrative Human Resources including (but not limited to): staffing, training documents and logs; employee wellness program; internal and external correspondence; FMLA administration and recordkeeping; workers’ compensation claims; and filing / documentation.
Essential Functions
Staffing – posting jobs, tracking applicants, interviewing, job offers, pre-employment screening, hiring, temporary staffing, layoff, callbacks
Orientation – new employees both union and nonunion
Verification of I-9, including re-verification
Background and reference checks
Maintain / distribute Employee Handbooks
Maintain training log
Correspondence – bulletin boards, employee letters, regulatory compliance
Respiratory protection program
Medical evaluations
Purchase, fit, and distribute full and half-face respirators
Oversee workers’ comp claims
Attend monthly safety committee meetings, type and distribute minutes
Compile reports for HR, Operations, and Seneca Corporate.
Assist all employees with work and personal issues
Coordinate employee functions/incentives – parties, picnics, gift cards, tenure program
Provide backup for Payroll
Administer non-union payroll – Vacation, PTO/Sick, FMLA, and other leaves.
Track paid time usage.
Other tasks as assigned
