Sets up and maintains accounting records for a major section of an accounting system and performs or supervises the review, posting, revising and summarization of fiscal records and statements; compiles data and prepares reports; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four (4) years of clerical experience, three (3) years of which shall have been in account record keeping work.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; office practices and procedures; the ability to maintain fiscal accounts and records; interpret fiscal records and data; etc.
Substitution: An Associate degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of clerical experience and up to one year of account record keeping experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university will substitute for all of the required experience.
