* Provides full range of day-to-day HR support including staffing, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, benefits, compensation, and training & development.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and general best practices; reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Develops appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment.
* Develops/implements appropriate change management plans as required.
* Maintain appropriate staffing levels & coordinate recruitment.
* Drive employee engagement through effective communication, employee events & activities.
* Work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues; maintain an open-door policy.
* Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports needed for leadership as needed.
* Tracks time and attendance and works with corporate payroll to process time for bi-weekly payroll.
* Maintain all relevant employment files and records in an accurate, secure fashion.
Safety & Environmental
* Leads by example and promotes a safety-first mindset in every task.
* Primary contact for EHS partnership with outside contractor/advisor and provide guidance and direction in the safety and environmental programs at the employee and supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
* Review accidents, incidents, conduct audits, and complete reporting requirements.
* Reports and trackers workers’ compensation claims with outside partner.
* Work with subject matter experts to facilitate creation, implementation, and maintenance of SOP’s for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize in day-to-day training.
* Prepare Toolbox Talk content for weekly safety communications.
* Leads facility safety committee to drive employee health & welfare and reduce workplace incidents & injuries.
*Required Qualifications: *
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
* 3-5 years’ experience as a human resources professional with a generalist scope
* Preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment
* PHR or SHRM-CP certification
