The Opportunity:

As Internal Audit & Control Associate, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and testing of internal control rules and procedures within Sephora North America (Sephora US & Canada), in full compliance with LVMH policies and procedures. During Internal Audits, along with your Manager, you will be responsible for performing the audits. You will be responsible for developing and owning sections of the audit, along with formalizing findings, and issuing appropriate recommendations.

In addition, the Internal Audit & Control Associate will:

• Roll out the store audit program annually, liaising with business partners. Track monthly compliance and areas for opportunity. Complete monthly reporting to management on relevant progress and statistics comparable to prior years. Take action with retail field leadership & retail operations team based on store audit findings
• Complete store audits and gain insight into store controls and operations
• Develop and ensure compliance with Segregation of Duties across the business through performing a review of the SOD of all financial applications
• Test DoA to ensure compliance & enforce corrective action. Based on outcomes of DoA, determine revisions to DoA needed
• Perform monthly testing and reporting on Travel & Entertainment & Meeting/P Cards
• Manage the T&E inbox daily and become the key point of contact for Travel and Entertainment expenses for the business
• Perform & oversee monthly key controls such as retail transaction reviews and SOD controls
• Assist the Internal Control team with LVMH internal audits and follow up on the implementation of their recommendations post-audit
• Take appropriate measures for the prevention and detection of frauds and partner with Loss Prevention and Fraud teams to ensure the appropriate controls are in place
• Complete monthly reporting on frauds at the company in preparation to report to Sephora Global
• Through Retail Operations transactions and data point review, monitor compliance and implement controls in partnership with management to address risks/non-compliance identified
• Ensure all key procedures and policies are maintained and updated according to business needs and/or LVMH guidelines for the US and Canada
• Undertake special projects, ad-hoc audits, project reviews or similar on request
• Conduct controls testing and process walkthroughs with various business partners to discuss these controls, ensuring that correct procedures are in place. Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results from testing
• Work closely with emergency notification app provider to ensure app maintenance
• Work to develop and assist in the rolling out of new policies and trainings
• Coordinate company actions on Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans ensuring main procedures exist and are updated regularly. Maintain Crisis Management documents
• Hold the business accountable for the resolution of high and medium priority actions

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters and accounting education highly preferred.
• 2 years of professional experience in areas of internal and/or external audit, finance, controlling, either in audit/consulting firms or large companies
• Preferred background in Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods
• Communication skills—Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to effectively convey complex concepts in understandable terms, both in writing and verbally. Ability to deliver oral presentations to diverse groups.
• Problem Solving skills—ability to use analytical thoughts to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.
• Mindset – results-driven, intellectually curious, self-starter.
• Ability to maintain balance amidst opposition and change.
• Strong accounting and financial skills

• Experience in developing and leading areas of audits and projects, including designing tests and test scripts
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulation

The target annual base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
