Job Description
Job summary: The Residential Programming Nurse will oversee the medication policies and procedures for residential clients. They will work with the Clinical Director and Chief Operations Officer to assure appropriate medical care of clients.
Qualifications: Required:
- Current licensure within the State of Alaska as an PAC, ANP, RN or LPN
- Ability to:
- Pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check
- Qualify for SFAxe2x80x99s commercial automobile insurance
Preferred:
- 1 year experience with medication delivery and processes
Skills required:
- Ability to:
- Establish and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries
- Be a role model to people in recovery
- Build rapport with clients and staff
- Construct and complete documentation in a timely manner
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Punctuality and consistent reliability in ing to work
- Basic computer skills including internet navigation and fluid use of electronic communication tools
Job responsibilities:
- Oversee:
- Medication administration for clients in residential programming
- Supervise self-administration of medication process including:
- Training of staff doing supervised self-administration
- Optimizing the self-administration of medication process
- Review:
- Medication logs and prepare appropriate s
- Physician orders to ensure compliance
- Provide basic nursing consultation and referral for residential clients
- File appropriate paperwork
- Work within the multidisciplinary team
- Attend clinical program meetings
Supervision:
- Residential Programming Nurse will receive supervision from the Clinical Director
