Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources (VP/HR), following established policies and guidelines, the HR Manager is responsible for:
The overall supervision, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources staff, including HR Generalists and administrative employees.
Employee and labor relations throughout Seven Hills and Affiliates; Advises supervisor and managers on related matters, provides training and guidance on employee complaints, investigations and disputes.
Development, administration and compliance related to Worker’s Compensation and OSHA. Oversight of leave administration, including FMLA.
Cost effective management of worker’s compensation and unemployment claims, providing guidance to all levels regarding the nature and direction of claims.
Providing guidance and training to HR staff and all levels of management on human resources issues including performance management, conflict resolution, employee relations, disciplinary action and internal investigations.
Partnering with recruitment team and hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies for our various programs.
Maintaining open channels of communication between employees, department heads and administration. Keep employees and department heads aware of changing rules and regulations related to personnel.
With VP/HR, monitor legal compliance of all related laws in relations to Human Resources, including but not limited to AA/EEO, ADA, OSHA, FMLA; manage issues related to immigration and other legal situations as they arise.
Preparing compliance reports including but not limited to EEO, OSHA, and Worker’s Compensation.
Drafting HR polices as needed; Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
Analyzing wage and salary reports, and coordinate salary surveys to determine competitive compensation plan.
Drafting directives and advising department managers of company policy regarding affirmative action, equal employment opportunities, compensation, employee benefits, and civil rights.
Developing and maintaining a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
Coordinating the analysis, maintenance, and communication of Human Resources related and personnel records required by law or local governing bodies or other departments and licensing agencies.
Coordinating CORI background check process and policy.
Representing agency in unemployment hearings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field plus 10 years of general HR experience or MS/MBA in related field and 7 years of general HR experience. SPHR preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License Required. Access to vehicle for use and some local travel required.
