Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our finance team at Seviroli Foods. This position will be pivotal in managing financial reporting, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance within the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in our fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
• Assist in preparing management reports, including variance analysis and financial performance metrics.

• General Ledger and Journal Entries:
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger.
• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Provide variance analysis and explanations to management.

• Cost Accounting:
• Maintain and analyze standard costing, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost control.

• Compliance and Audits:
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit activities.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries.

• Financial Systems and Processes: Optimize and maintain financial systems and software.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Provide training and support to accounting staff on financial systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Big 4 accounting experience and CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite)
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset toward process improvements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
