Overview:

The Facilities and Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of the buildings, grounds, green areas, and houses directing janitorial and maintenance staff. Manage inventory of janitorial supplies and R&M parts. The Facilities Manager will execute daily and weekly repairs and do or coordinate preventive maintenance and facilities housekeeping. Ensure that facilities, houses, and all equipment is up to code in state and federal regulations as well as internal company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the efficiency and good working conditions of the facilities.
• Ensure a safety and healthy environment.
• Ensure that all facilities tasks are completed daily/weekly/monthly.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance and janitorial activities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. Determine cause, solutions, and document.
• Assist in initiating resolutions to problems in the facilities.
• Assist in ensuring the safety of the building from fire, flood, and other hazards.
• Assist in facilities safety measures.
• Maintain accurate records of the condition of the building, equipment, and material handling equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments for tasks that are not within the scope of the facilities service team.
• Educate employees on the proper use, care, and storage of farm equipment.
• Coordinate and communicate with management on facility issues and improvements.
• Create and maintain SOPs and Maintenance logs for all equipment and machinery.
• Train all employee on safe operation of all machinery.
• Inspect and maintain houses per company and governmental laws.
• Landscape maintenance as needed
• Agrochemical application, like herbicides around the facilities or other products needed on the green areas.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience equipment maintenance.
• 1-2 years in a lead, supervisor, or manager roll.
• Desired OSHA certified and safety procedures experience.
• Contractor’s License is a benefit

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
• Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
• Forklift Certified is a plus
• Planning, budgeting, and inspection experience required.
• Construction experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Be able to multi-task in fast peace environment.
• Planning, budgeting, and inspection experience required.
• Clearly communicate goals and objects to the Kona farm team.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
