Shah & Sokoloff LLC, CPA firm seeks an intelligent, articulate, friendly professional to join our accounting and tax preparation firm. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible, efficient and able to work independently. The position requires a multi-tasking self-starter who looks forward to learning new things.

We are seeking a candidate with 2+ years experience in the following areas:

• Preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations and trusts
• Maintenance of client books and records with a working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Review and maintain client’s general ledger and the preparation of adjusting journal entries as needed
• Assist in financial statement compilation
• Preparation and/or review of payroll and sales tax return
• Tax projections and tax planning for businesses and individuals
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Accurately managing client services time budgets as well as meeting client needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance – CPA preferred
• 2 years minimum experience in public accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and QuickBooks
• Proseries and Prosystem tax software experience preferred
