Shelburne Vineyard Dishwasher / Busser Job Description
We are seeking a high-energy, reliable individual to be a key part of our team in the Tasting Room at Shelburne Vineyard!
- 1-2 years prior experience working back of house (dishwashing / bussing) in a bar or restaurant environment preferred
- Job duties include: Running glassware and dishes through our dishwasher and restocking behind the bar; clearing tables; polishing glassware; sweeping; taking out trash and recycling; restocking wine shelves; general cleaning tasks
- Weekend availability is a must. Currently, up to 4 shifts per week are available (approx. 20-30 hours / week)
- Must be 21+ to apply – occasionally you may serve alcohol to customers
- Must be comfortable working quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professional courtesy and a welcoming, friendly attitude towards all customers
- Experience using the Square POS is helpful but not required
- A passion for and knowledge of wine is a big plus; knowledge of Vermont wine is a huge plus!
TIPS ARE POOLED AND DIVIDED AMONGST ALL part-time staff working during a particular shift, including back of house personnel.

COVID-19 considerations:
Staff must be fully-vaccinated. We are currently requiring all visitors to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test to enter the Tasting Room. This requirement is expected to change when the weather warms and seating is mostly outside.
