What’s the role?
The Aviation Assurance Lead (Facilities) manages the assurance activities for all aviation facilities in the Americas owned by or supporting the Company to include offshore helidecks both manned, normally unmanned installations (NUIs), and those considered minimally manned installations; onshore facilities to include airports, airfields, airstrips, heliports, and helipads; and all our facilities with the purpose of supporting aviation or air transport operations. The role has regional responsibilities in the Americas but is predominately focused on the us Gulf of Mexico given the large volume of Company facilities. The role delivers and oversees the execution of the entire Company Americas Helideck Audit Program, Company Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) System, Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET) program and Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (Cat A EBS) training compliance program, Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Helideck Assistant (HDA) training programs, and specific dedicated air operator assurance. The role also, in those instances where assigned, will also provide Emergency Response support, or function a Remotely Operated Aircraft System (RPAS/drone) Auditor. Situationally dependent, the role will be assigned additional accountabilities for the management, control and improvement of contracted air operations, air operations emergency response, providing assurance, delivering on aviation safety and cost performance targets, functioning as the Aviation Assurance Lead, responsible Aviation Manager, and Air Operations Supervisor (AOS) for subject activities as required and will assist to develop, prepare, negotiate and implement harmonized air support contracts and strategies (both initially or on renewal) to ensure high standards of safety and efficiency at a competitive cost.. The role reports to the Regional Aviation Manager, Head of Aircraft Services – Americas within the Supply Chain Deepwater Americas organization.
The role is accountable for contract management, air transport assurance, aviation emergency response, aviation safety, and responsibilities as directed by the Regional Aviation Manager.
Responsibilities:
Role is responsible for the assurance activities for all Company aviation facilities in the Americas owned by or supporting the Company to include offshore helidecks both manned, normally unmanned installations (NUIs), and those considered minimally manned installations; onshore facilities to include airports, airfields, airstrips, heliports, and helipads; and all our facilities with the purpose of supporting aviation or air transport operations.
The role is also accountable for the management and oversight of survival training compliance (HUET & Cat A EBS), administering its programmatics and integration with passenger management systems as well as tracking variance approvals and overall compliance statistics.
The role is accountable for Company NOTAM system in the Americas; responsible for administering and program maintenance of the processes and systems.
The role is accountable for HLO/HDA training in the Americas; to assess and assure course content, provide assessments of OPITO equivalency, partner in development of Company course content, and oversee and enable HLO/HDA Competency Assessments.

What we need from you?
It is your experience (at least 20 years) in the aviation industry and have held management positions within an energy industry company, aircraft operating company, or equivalent military organization. And demonstrated leadership in aviation safety management systems in an operational environment. Significant supply chain or logistics experience in the energy industry is preferred.
Furthermore, you should have:
A legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Able to meet the requirements of the Job Competence Profile as an Aircraft Skill Pool Air Operations Supervisor and be able to pass Air Transport TA2 competency examination requirements
Meet the competency requirements as a contract holder
Aviation maintenance experience required with at least an awareness of aircraft maintenance practices including the management of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, maintenance quality assurance principles, and serviceability and dispatch requirements
Strong operational and technical experience in Helideck design, operations and maintenance; previous experience as a helideck auditor or technical advisor
Experience working with the Federal Aviation Administration, other National Aviation Authority or similar regulatory or advisory organization on helideck standards, design, operations and/or maintenance
Supply Chain or Logistics experience required with at least an awareness of the principles of logistics, and at a minimum, an awareness of time-distance considerations, aviation logistical support requirements, budgeting, and hazardous material handling
Project management experience required with at least an understanding of project management techniques, budgeting, and scheduling
Administrator level preferred / user level required; competence with advanced aviation data applications, reporting tools and software suites
Strong public speaking/briefing skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior management, external bodies, and all level of employees within direct organization.
Strong technical writing skills required. Must be able to clearly communicate policies and procedures, and develop technical specifications
Physically able to work in an offshore environment, achieve and maintain a Helicopter Underwater Escape Training certification, and conduct personnel transfer offshore by swing line, personnel hoisting device, and other devices.
Special Training Desired:
Graduate of a civilian or military accident investigation course
Graduate of a civilian or military aviation safety course or equivalent Safety Management System (SMS) course
Graduate of a civilian or military maintenance management or maintenance quality assurance course
Graduate of a civilian or military experimental test pilot course
Graduate of a military maintenance test pilot course
Graduate of an OEM pilot or maintenance course
Graduate of an ISO 9001:2004 lead auditor’s course
FAA Part 107 Certificate
