We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resources Operations to join our People & Culture team with a broad knowledge of the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. The Senior Human Resources Operations Manager will oversee P&C operational functions and assist the Chief People Officer in the development of SOP’S; job descriptions ensure the companies policies and practices are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as meeting corporate objectives and best practices.

The ideal candidate would be someone who is a great communicator that can build strong working relationships with external contacts and internal departments. Play a key role in the implementation and optimization of our processes to ensure accurate and efficient practices and ensure our internal control environment is effective.

Duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with our P&C leadership and wider team on the end to end people & culture strategy.
• Manage, prioritize and fill your own open positions as well as drive the success of the team you manage. You will be primarily focused on leadership hires and will need to make decisions about pivoting between strategic leadership work and hands-on tactical work to correspond with business growth and changes.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, customer service, finance, revenue, and other teams as needed to understand, support, and design their recruitment needs and ultimately drive the hiring plans.
• Lead the process for creating job descriptions and postings, interview plans and material such as position centric exercises and written challenges in collaboration with hiring managers and teams in order to attract and identify top talent and also create a competitive candidate experience.
• Oversight and scaling applicant tracking system and recruitment metrics to ensure detail oriented tracking and reporting to enable high optimal, data driven decision making.
• Effectively communicate recruitment expectations and report on progress with stakeholders, leadership team and and with the company as a whole.
• Advise on and lead opportunities to optimize and build our employer brand through our careers page and other third party platform and PR opportunities through partnership with the marketing team.
• Monitoring retention and turnover rates.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for processes in People & Culture.
• Perform in depth evaluation and monitoring of current P&C procedures to identify ways to make things more efficient and eliminate aspects that aren’t valuable.
• Develop and document supporting process information for purposes of decision making, consistency, and alignment, including developing process flow maps for current and future state process improvement efforts.
• Assess HR processes to identify and design the most efficient means necessary for process improvement as well as support the communication and implementation of identified changes.
• Conduct and utilize research regarding best practices to develop recommendations for SOP updates.
• Create HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and/or support process changes.
• Ensure all processes are in compliance with legislation, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a SME relative to P&C policies and procedures in assigned areas by responding to inquiries requesting policy clarification.
• Support other P&C initiatives by assisting with policy and process harmonization.
• Write, rewrite and publish P&C policies and procedures.
• Planning as well as executing orientation programs
• Providing consultancy to new recruits.
• Updating and maintaining the employee handbook.
• Assist with employee documentation when they transfer to a new position or department.
• Process employment paperwork.
• Communicate with new recruits for providing them necessary information before their onboarding (e.g. contract details, etc.)
• Uploading information of new employees in the HRIS system
• Introducing new recruits to company’s current employees.
• Scheduling as well as overseeing NHO sessions.
• Issuing NHO completion certifications.

• 8 + years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
• Good knowledge of state, local and federal employment/labor laws and relevant HR legislation (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Health & Safety, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites, Slack; HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom) and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
• Excellent communication and people skills

• Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
• HR Certification is a plus (SHRM-CP, PHR or SPHR)
