Job Description Logistics Warehouse Supervisor Large 3rd party logistics company is immediately hiring a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations and manage the staff at their distribution center in Vernon, CA. You will work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime when needed.
This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position where you will earn $20 – $25 an hour, depending on your experience. Plus, if hired directly by the company, you will be eligible for great company benefits.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for organizing and monitoring work processes and:
- Ensuring all safety requirements and regulations are followed by employees.
- Leading monthly safety meetings and employee training.
- Overseeing work procedures, production schedules, product inspections and inventory.
- Documenting all incidents, employee progress, and performance issues.
- Maintaining communication with Warehouse superintendent, shift leads, and company drivers.
- Supervising and assisting with warehouse operations including crane and forklift operation, product inspection, shipping, receiving, and storage.
- Participating in cross training, development programs and obtaining certifications as requested.
- Acting as back-up for the Superintendent during vacations, sickness, or as requested.
To qualify for the Warehouse Supervisor position, we require at least five (5) years of supervisory experience in a logistics environment, and:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Microsoft office proficiency and the ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
- Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, metal cutting devices, and handheld RFID scanners.
- The ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Experience using AS400 systems and OSHA regulations is preferred.
