Ska Fabricating is an equipment manufacturing company specializing in packaging automation. Our customers exist in a wide range of industries – from beer to kombucha to peanut butter and paint. Put simply, if they have a product that needs to be canned or bottled, we help them do that more efficiently with our heavy-duty, reliable packaging machinery.
Ska Fab is currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to effectively and proactively managing and planning the day-to-day activities of logistics, shipping and receiving. This position will assist with a variety of the Buying, Project Management, and Production Team’s processes. A high sense of urgency, frequent and clear communication, and great organizational skills will make you a great candidate for this job! The ideal candidate will be able to think critically, be self-motivated, and process driven. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the strong foundation the purchasing process is built on.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ship Product: Accept requests from onsite stakeholders, prepare items for transport, and ship using contracted services. Contact courier service suppliers, and ensure product is delivered to appropriate destination at the right time.
o Responsible for Drop shipments and transportation mode of shipset orders. Manage drop ship and LTL orders, including orders pending billing or fulfillment.
o Overcome roadblocks to ensure shipment is made in line with internal & external customers’ requirements to maintain On Time Shipment for transportation
o Work closely with Channel Partners and Warehouse coordinating and communicating shipment delivery requirements with freight forwarders and transportation teams.
o Able to work with shipping systems and records to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
o Coordinate flight and truck schedules with internal freight forwarders or our customer’s designated freight forwarding company. Process FedEx, Fed-Ex Freight, UPS, DB Schenker, and DHL ground and air shipments.
o Prepare ALL documents (Domestic and International) for consolidation and calculate the value of duties and tariffs/ Prepare BOL for all outbound material.
o Accurately documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation.
o Maintains Weights and Dimensions list
· Assist Purchasing and Project Management Team with the execution of purchase orders, special orders, expedites, and drop ship orders.
o Support the overages, shortages, and damages process while also working closely purchasing and production.
o Manage orders (Domestic and International), including expedite orders, drop-in orders, and “line down” orders, according to order availability, fill rate, ship date, and shipment routing.
o Help Track Purchase Order flow including- trackers, inspection, packaging, production, shipping/delivery, and ETAs.
· Sponsor Receiving of Materials: Enter receipt of product into database so invoices can be paid. Ensure parcels received are distributed internally to the intended recipient and move production material to the warehouse for put away or to the production floor when required.
o Assist with inventory cycle counting, material management activities.
o Help receive, unpack, and inspect for storage of all incoming materials and supplies.
o Help keep warehouse organized and ensure production material and non-production material is separate, identified, and able to be retrieved.
· All other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
· 3 years shipping, receiving, and logistics experience.
· Experience in logistics or supply chain modeling & simulation.
· Familiarity with computers, scanners, and ERP systems
· Ability to interpret and follow instructions closely, organize work area, and meet deadlines.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong communication skills and displays the ability to work cross-functionally.
· Strong sense of time organization and urgency with a Strong attention to detail
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with highly motivated team members.
· Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
· International shipping experience is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
· Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 75 lbs.
· Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
· Specific vision abilities required for this job include reading documents and computers, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
· Usual warehouse conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, and temperature.
· Work outside in varying weather and conditions

SALARY
$17-$20/hour based on experience
