The Human Resources Manager will originate and lead HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high-performance culture. The HR Manager facilitates the administrative processes and services that support various functional areas within Human Resources. This person will operate in an HR Department of one.

• Consult with executives and leaders in aligning people practices (such as talent identification and development, employee engagement, compensation, and performance management) to organizational strategy.
• Facilitates the timely hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for the openings. May coordinate recruitment events such as job fairs and open houses.
• Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding processes, including review of company policies and the collection and processing of new hire paperwork.
• Maintains employee records ensuring completion and accuracy of detail such as employee information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key items.
• Receives and addresses employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and benefit plans.
• Monitors employment compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies, notifies CEO of potential issues and proposes corrective action.
• Performs routine tasks required to administer employee status updates such as departmental transfers, maintenance, leaves, resignation, terminations, discipline matters, exit interviews, uniform inventory, and hourly compensation process.
• Assists with the administration of employee records in the organization’s HR Management System including benefit changes, name changes, tax exemption changes, and address changes.
• Lead Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts to educate staff, promote awareness and ensure an inclusive work environment.
• Process bi-weekly payroll
• Strengthen and improve employee experience programs through educational events, team building, talent development, and celebrations.
• Proactively stays informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources.
• Monitor Covid-19 rules and mandates regarding employer and employee responsibilities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Human Resources, or a similar field, or a PHR Certification
• 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or 2 years as an HR Manager
• Experience working through complex employee relations issues and strategic partnerships with leaders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Teams) or related software.
• Ability to produce PowerPoint presentations and present at company functions.
• Familiarity with HR Information Systems such as Paycom
