Job description
Snyder’s is looking for a Full-Stack developer to manage and maintain our internal applications and public-facing websites. The applicant should have experience building / maintaining applications with Go, NodeJS, C#, .NET, and Python programing languages. Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services is preferred, as many of our applications are deployed to Cloud Run and Kubernetes Engine. Experience running Go as a Windows service is also desired, but not mandatory. Additionally, the applicant will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a junior developer who has been on-staff for 2 years. This position reports directly to the CEO and the team is largely independent of other business units. Because of this, excellent project management skills are required.
1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
1.1 Manage the developed software infrastructure

1.3 Extract data from all servers and apps that are being used by the Company
1.4 Maintain all servers, apps, and databases being used by the Company
1.5 Design, plan, document, and implement all new software applications and enhancements for current applications
1.6 Mentor and manage the Junior Developer(s)
1.7 Maintain documentation for all in-house software

2.0 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
2.1 The Full Stack Developer reports directly to and is fully accountable to the CEO
2.2 The Full Stack Developer may take direction from individual managers on specific projects
3.0 WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
3.1 Works in concert with the CEO, setting objectives and expectations monthly, weekly and daily.
3.2 Full Stack Developer must act 100% of the time in the best interest of the Company (Snyder’s and Wrench a Part). Full Stack Developer must take pride in doing things 100% correct and with 100% attention to detail. Full Stack Developer must at all times act honorably, work hard, and have impeccable ethics and morality. In return, the Full Stack Developer will earn the respect of the managers and employees of the Company. The Full Stack Developer must always remain professional and respectable. The Full Stack Developer must be confident and comfortable receiving positive feedback and constructive criticism.
4.0 WORKING CONDITIONS:
4.1 The work environment may consist of working from the employee’s home or from one of our brick and mortar offices.
4.2 There are occasions where the Full Stack Developer may be required to travel. When that is required, the Company will provide for modest travel expenses covering hotel, airplane, and UBER / taxi as needed.
5.0 AUTHORITY:
5.1 The Full Stack Developer is given all authority necessary to Conduct, manage, and administer decisions necessary to implement the goal(s) set by the CEO.
6.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:
6.1 CEO goals are planned and executed.
6.2 Database(s), database software(s), and apps are functional as close to 100% of the time as is reasonable.
6.3 Regular verbal and written communication is maintained with the CEO or whichever manager is in charge of a certain project or portion of a project.
7.0 DUTIES AND TASKS:
7.1. Manage the developed software infrastructure
7.1.1. IT Security as a Top Priority
7.1.2. Communicate with Stakeholders
7.1.3. Act as liaison between Vendors and Managers
7.1.4. Report to the CEO
7.2. Work with CEO to set Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Objectives
7.2.1. Weekly conference call
7.2.1.1. Held at a standard time each week
7.2.1.2. Review of current projects using Gantt Charts or Similar
7.2.1.3. Review of progress made since last call
7.2.1.4. Review of roadblocks and issues
7.2.1.5. Review of expectations for the coming week
7.2.1.6. Review progress of Junior Developer
7.2.1.6.1. Quantity of Work
7.2.1.6.2. Quality of Work
7.2.1.6.3. Progress with Knowledge Base
7.2.2. As needed Skype, Email, Text, Phone Call
7.3. Maintain all servers, apps, and databases being used by the Company
7.3.1. Set up / maintain error reporting system
7.3.2. Efficiently repair any problems
7.3.2.1. All efforts should be made to minimize impact on customers and employees
7.4. Design, plan, document, and implement all new software applications and enhancements for current applications
7.4.1. Storyboard for Stakeholders visual understanding
7.4.2. User Story for detailed direction and goals for Developers
7.4.3. Development Plan with timelines using Gantt Chart or Similar
7.4.4. Documentation in a central location with all necessary information needed for continuity in the future
7.5. Mentor and manage the Junior Developer(s)
7.5.1. Provide tasks with timeline expectations
7.5.2. Daily (minimum) monitoring of progress
7.5.3. Daily (minimum) feedback on:
7.5.3.1. Quality of work
7.5.3.2. Quantity of work
7.5.4. Report to CEO
7.6. Maintain all documentation
7.6.1. Central location with all necessary information needed for continuity in the future
7.6.2. By Project, Server, or Application
7.7. Always adhere to company policy and procedures
7.8. Perform other related duties as requested by the CEO
8.0 MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE:
8.1 Monthly, quarterly and annual objectives are met
8.2 Feedback from Managers regarding the Database Product / apps is positive
8.3 Problems and repairs are completed quickly and completely
8.4 Demonstrates good judgment in suitably reporting major matters or problems to the CEO
8.5 Respects the confidentiality of company information
8.6 Displays a positive attitude and maintains a cooperative working relationship all managers and employees.
8.7 Performs all duties in an independent and expeditious manner with minimal supervision.
8.8 Makes optimal use of time during working hours.
8.9 Consistently displays the ability to recognize and deal with priorities
8.10 Demonstrates good planning skills.
