SoCal Gas is seeking qualified candidates for the Automotive Fleet Assistant Position at the Visalia Base Location.
Starting pay will be $33.12 per/hr.
Primary Purpose
Responsible for the fueling and fluid levels of company vehicles and work equipment. Performs vehicle oil changes and lubrications. Changes and services tires. Drives between locations delivering parts and vehicles. Responsible for the cleaning of vehicles, shop facilities, equipment and the security of company assets assigned to the garage. Required to adhere to all governmental regulations and comply with company policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Automotive or mechanical background required.
The ability to absorb formal training and schooling. Effective oral, written and electronic communication skills required.
Must be capable of working without supervision.
Must perform heavy manual labor (lifting more than 75 lbs. without restrictions). Automotive or mechanical background required.
Must be able to perform battery servicing.
Must have the ability to work at different locations and work times (working hours may vary at different locations), including 3:30pm to Midnight.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen, battery testing, and physical abilities testing requirement.
