Your New Role At Societal:
We are looking for a Manager, People & Culture. In this role you will lead and develop the People & Culture team as well as assist in development of the strategic initiatives. You will serve as a coach to managers, advising on and implementing HR plans, programs, services, practices, and policies that directly align to the business strategy. You will interface with all levels within the organization and will responsibility to independently make a broad range of critical decisions.
We prefer that the Manager, People and Culture be located in the greater Atlanta area with the ability to be oniste 1-2 days a week, however, we are open to a remote hire located within the United States .
How You Will Make An Impact:
Provide guidance to leadership on change management, organization assessment and how to leverage HR tools and programs to create an effective organization and drive employee engagement.
Consults with management to support pay for performance philosophy. Coach managers through all aspects of performance management process from goal setting through appraisal and performance counseling process.
Serve as subject matter expert on employee relations; conducting investigations, research policies/practices, creates and gathers documentation, makes determinations, and implements resolutions when applicable.
Develops and coaches the People & Culture team members on achieving both department & personal goals, maintaining the highest compliance standards and providing quality HR services.
Maintains a high-level knowledge of industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Conduct Exit Interviews and perform qualitative data analysis of department KPIs, turnover, discipline, and other metrics to inform and influence the organizations people programs.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Manages the organizations VISA program.
Oversees the proper handling of employee requests in areas such as Leaves of Absence, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, and qualifying event benefits changes.
Embodies Societal’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.
As a leader you will:
Direct and provide expert knowledge in the day-to-day function of Human Resources.
Identify, recruit, and retains top-notch talent.
Champion Societal’s culture and empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.
Coach, mentor, engage and develop the team, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and learning opportunities.
Set performance standards and encourage employee engagement and results through delegation, continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance management.
Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.
