Nourish New York is Looking for an Director of Events and Catering
The ideal candidate would be someone with a strong background in event planning and management, sales, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
This role involves a combination of sales, marketing, and event management responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
· Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring they meet client expectations and Nourish standards
· Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements
· Work with the Nourish culinary team to ensure delivery of the menu
Sales and Business Development:
· Generate new business leads and opportunities by actively networking, prospecting, and building relationships with potential clients
· Develop and maintain a sales strategy to increase event bookings and revenue
· Prepare and present proposals to potential clients, showcasing Nourish offerings
Budget Management:
· Prepare and manage budgets for each event to ensure profitability
· Monitor expenses and find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality of service
Team Management:
· Hire, train, and supervise event staff
· Create a motivated and efficient team capable of delivering high-quality events
Reporting and Analytics:
· Track and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and customer feedback, to make data-driven decisions and improvements
Innovation:
· Stay updated with industry trends and emerging event technologies to offer unique and creative event solutions
Crisis Management:
· Develop contingency plans for potential issues or emergencies that may arise during events, such as bad weather or equipment malfunctions

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate’s specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.
Position Summary
Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to an account, may have multiple clients and/or satellite locations.
Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience – 5 years
Basic Functional Experience – 5 years
