Sofidel America Hiring for Logistics Specialist Job at Southampton, PA Full Time

We are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist for our Horsham, PA office.

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for assisting Transportation Manager in leading an efficient, effective transportation department providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support Transportation Manager in identifying and developing possible alternative logistic solutions.
• Supports the Transportation Manager in creating and developing contacts with the clients and suppliers’ Shipping and Logistics Offices.
• Supports the Transportation Manager in the negotiations with logistic service suppliers in case of need and arrange the related contracts.
• Supports the Transportation Manager in the creation of the logistics budget and assists with management.
• Collaborates with the Production Planning organizational units and the Group Internal Logistics Process Department for the best possible warehouses management of finished products and external depots.
• Collaborates with the peripheral offices and the Group Logistics Dept so as to optimize logistic costs, guaranteeing service quality.
• Analyzes data related to logistic costs in order to identify possible deviations and/or anomalies and report to manager.
• Calculates the estimates for the logistic costs of new products.
• In collaboration with Production Planning Dept., seek the optimization of logistic costs for the products allocation.
• Calculates and controls the service level and disseminates the resulting data to the appropriate departments. Creates monthly reports, analyses data and distributes to the relevant offices with suggested improvement activities.
• Monitors monthly data of distribution logistics (external stores, transport and shuttle service) and the related costs, suggesting improvement solutions.
• Promotes a safety-bound corporate culture.
• Applies the Corporate Principles and Values.
• Performs other job-related duties in area of responsibility as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Degree in the field of Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business is preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience within a Logistics role is required.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Project Management/Coordination experience is preferred.
