Somerset Wood Products is actively seeking to fill the position of Human Resource Director. Somerset Wood Products is a 37 year old company with more than 400 employees. We are seeking a HR Director who is especially strong in the areas of recruiting and retention.

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating interviews, hiring, terminating, promotions, performance review and other employee related activities.

• Manage benefit programs such as life, health, leave of absence and employee assistance

• Maintain and ensure compliance with employee related laws and regulations.

• Administer HR programs and policies to support company goals and improve employee relations

• Advise management on all HR related issues

• Supervise a team of HR personnel and provide oversight and guidance.

Requirements for the position are:

• College degree in HR Management or related field preferred.

• Prefer 5-10 years of previous experience in various HR positions.

• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to relate and effectively communicate with employees and office staff.

• Strong organizational skills
