SCCI is seeking a Systems engineering Tools Developer experienced in the development of custom frameworks for Atlassian, IBM, and JFROG tools and projects. The candidate will be part of a team of engineers/developers working to develop tools which facilitate the DEVOPS of engineering teams. This position is available immediately and located in Dahlgren, Virginia.
While under COVID, remote support is maximized, but you must be available to report to the on-site location as needed to supplement telecommuting. This position will return to on-site support as requested/required by customer.
Responsibilities:
Conducting a thorough analysis of operational, technical, systemic requirements and any required modification to maintain the engineering tools infrastructure
Providing experience with classified Government systems and procedures
Creating and delivering project life cycle management documentation as required
Solving technical and non-technical problems throughout the life of the project
Maintaining, integrating, and administering system engineering tools composed of IBM, Atlassian, and JFrog components
Developing scripting using C/C++, Ruby, Perl or other applicable construct
Designing, implementing, and sustaining networked and multi-sited application instances
Understanding infrastructure security across the tools suite and configurations to consider before rolling out to large development groups
Working closely with the customer and other engineers to ensure system requirements are met
Understanding product licensing models and their administration
Creating documentation for end-users
Providing feedback to application users regarding system status, events, and issues management
Develop and maintain automation workflows in Atlassian JIRA and other Atlassian products including tool administration and customization
Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports
Install and configure plugins and deploy to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations
Design custom JIRA workflow for different issues types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows
Develop creating JIRA templates, complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
Responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence and integrations with other tools or plugins
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across organization, gather requirements to develop, and deliver custom templates, workflows (automation) using Atlassian products (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence etc.)
Providing timely and accurate information and status updates to leadership, project sponsors, end users, and management
Providing timely alerts to the designated Government representative on potential issues
Essential Skills and Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret Security Clearance
Three (3) years’ experience designing Graphical User Interfaces
Two (2) years’ experience of working with users and development teams to create software interfaces and mockups for custom frameworks to support the development and maintenance of configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) of complex systems
Experience with configuring and administrating custom frameworks built in IBM, Atlassian, and/or JFROG tools
Experience with scripting (C/C++, Ruby, Perl, Python, PHP, etc.) for data transitions
Experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, etc)
Experience in working customer service and applying customer support principles and methods demonstrating an ability to report, respond to, and resolve customer requests in a manner that demonstrates tact, patience, and resilience
Experience with Microsoft Office programs, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Security + certification or desire to attain it
IBM, Atlassian, or other engineering tool certification denoting knowledge of best practices for developing custom frameworks
Experience training users and troubleshooting issues working with host site personnel and network engineers
Demonstrated knowledge of setting up role-based security in support of secure business process automation
