DPT Program Director

Southwest Baptist
University, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of DPT
Program Director. Southwest Baptist University seeks a dynamic, compassionate leader with strong program management skills and the
ability to mentor and lead a team of dedicated faculty members. The Director is responsible for providing effective leadership and adherence
to all accreditation standards, including faculty evaluation, professional development, program financial management, and ongoing program
assessment. All responsibilities are conducted with an awareness of the Christian mission, goals and philosophy of the program and
the University. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, this is a 12-month, in-person position in
southwestern Missouri.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Curriculum development and
assessment;

· Maintain accreditation standards and oversee program accreditation activities;

· Manage faculty
and staff recruitment, evaluation, and retention;

· Develop faculty and support their teaching, scholarship, and service
priorities;

· Establish partnerships for clinical education and support the Director(s) of Clinical Education to ensure
ongoing excellence in clinical placements;

· Manage program budget, taking into consideration long and short-term planning
initiatives;

· Participate in admissions, marketing, fund-raising, and other functions that support the program, as well as
oversee student recruitment, selection, evaluation, advisement, retention and professional development;

· Represent program to
the broader University;

· Foster a positive academic climate that facilitates student, faculty and staff learning as well as
professional growth;

· Foster beneficial relationships with professional and consumer communities, including state and
national professional organizations, health care providers, community leaders, community at large, and other entities as appropriate;

· Maintain partial teaching load as negotiated with the Dean.

Qualifications:

·
Earned doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D, D.Sc);

· Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Missouri (or eligible and
license obtained within 90 days of employment);

· Minimum of six years of full-time higher education experience with a minimum
of three years of full-time experience in a physical therapist education program;

· Senior faculty status (Associate/Full
Professor, or Clinical Associate/Clinical Full Professor), or eligible for Associate Professor or higher rank;

· A record of
excellence in academic leadership and teaching.
