Human Resources Manager Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for payroll, recruitment and on-boarding of all employees, employee engagement, benefit administration, compliance training, and assisting with employee relations for all employees at the three Chicago locations. The Human Resources Manager also interacts with senior management and fellow managers and advises on employee related communication and actions.

Human Resources Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the organizations payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
• Ensures efficient processes are executed to deliver payroll that is highly reliable, timely and accurate, with a strong focus on customer service
• Full-cycle recruitment from Job requisition approval to negotiating the final offer
• On-boarding for all new hires including review and processing of paperwork, company orientation, compliance training, and general HR duties.
• Off-boarding for voluntary and involuntary terminations
• Maintain employee files and ensure supporting documentation is organized
• The Human Resources Manager will support management to create employee programs to motivate and include recognition programs and more
• Support the General Manager to develop and track employee growth and trajectory plans
• The Human Resources Manager assist employees with new hire benefit enrollment and Open Enrollment questions and deadlines
• Maintain a high level of practitioner employment law knowledge to ensure compliance with employment laws and general business practices.
• The Human Resources Manager will maintain an open line of communication to management and across other departments
• Perform other managerial duties as assignment by the General Manager.

Human Resources Manager Qualifications

College degree in Hospitality or Business Administration with three years of hospitality and restaurant HR management.

Comfortable in an independent environment

Excellent verbal and communication skills.

Organized, detailed, team player

Flexibility to utilize a warm, empathetic human touch while adhering to necessary regulations and practices

Available to work a flexible schedule as needed

Fluency in Spanish is desired
