The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operation of the HR department to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Essential Functions
Plan onboarding strategies with cross-functional departments and deliver new hire orientations while providing an exceptional experience
Conduct and analyze engagement interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
Responsible for entering and maintaining accurate and current employee information in HR systems to include status and salary changes, garnishments, terminations, withholdings, etc.
Consult with and provide support to employees from multiple divisions to assist with HR related topics
Assist with payroll processing, including; bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
Implement and utilize HR metrics related to performance management
Assist in the development of personnel policies and procedures and maintain employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart
Create and distribute internal communications such as company policy reminders and updates and other pertinent information
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or related HR function
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal employment/labor laws pertaining to HR is required
Superior computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs, communication and collaboration tools, and various operating systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and culture awareness
Aptitude in problem-solving
Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Additional HR training will be a plus
Preferred:
UltiPro and/or ADP experience a plus
Physical Requirements
Requires the physical abilities to lift, position, push, pull, and/or transfer materials in excess of 20 pounds. Also requires dexterity in the fingers, hands, and arms to type, write, and manipulate small technical devices.
Requires the mental and visual ability to view and concentrate on a computer screen and small technical devices.
