Overview:
St. Luke’s Health System in MOUNTAIN HOME is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our MEDICAL SURGICAL team.
Unit/Position Summary
0700 to 1530
Monday through Friday (5, 8hr shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Assists healthcare staff with clerical or other various duties on the unit.
- Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and others common to the unit/area(s) of assignment.
- Prepares, compiles and maintains patient and/or operational records in the unit.
- Maintains inventory and order supplies as necessary.
- May transcribe and ensure physicians’ orders are processed and patient follow up needs are met or assures documentation of work is completed as required.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
