Acura of Stamford is seeking to hire a Service Director who values both customer and employee satisfaction. We are seeking a coach/mentor-style of leader who understands that service personnel are responsible for the customer experience, and that happy employees are central to happy customers. The service manager runs an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records. Job duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hiring, training, motivating, counseling, scheduling and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitoring their performance in servicing customers

• Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service

• Take ownership of the customer’s experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer

• Manage and hire technicians and service advisors

• Ensure customer has a positive dealership experience

• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled

• Spend quality time building relationships with the customers

• Maintaining Service Records

• Ensure that service is performed at the highest level and operate the department profitably

• Manage CSI surveys and follow-up with Service Advisors to encourage positive surveys

• Evaluates employee performance regularly, providing feedback, coaching and counseling

• Monitor the flow of work in the service department and intervene as needed to ensure positive results are achieved

• Achieves sales, productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability objectives

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical automotive knowledge

• Demonstrated ability to manage others

• Organized and friendly personality

• Three plus years of service management experience preferred

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
