Starved Rock Wood Products is a full-service wood manufacturing company for residential, multi-family and commercial construction projects. We manufacture custom kitchen and bathroom cabinets, wood stairs, pre-hung doors, along with all wood trims for the residential market. For the commercial market we supply hotels, hospitals, schools, offices, multi-family projects with all their millwork needs. Custom laminate and wood veneers cabinets, reception desks and wall panels. Solid surface counter tops and custom millwork pieces.
To help develop our business and build the components of a positive and thriving Starved Rock Wood Products culture, we are looking for a Sr. Manager of Human Resources.
THE ROLE
The Sr. HR Manager will partner with the CFO, CEO, and leadership of Starved Rock Wood Products to build an environment where employees’ careers are carefully crafted to meet both personal and organizational objectives. With the rapid growth of Starved Rock Wood Products, you will have the opportunity to continue building a terrific place to work.
Specifically, this means:
Handle complex human resource matters with a heightened sense of calm and optimism
Lead recruiting initiatives across the organization and partner with the leadership team to develop unique plans to target, attract and hire the best talent
Lead our executive team in developing our talent strategy
Beyond running the functional tasks well, help develop Human Resources as a competitive advantage ? i.e. enhances our business edge
Confer with, and advise, the CFO, CEO, and business ownership
Build and nurture a talent community via outreach and through our website, social channels and partnering with local colleges and high schools
Oversee all employee lifecycle processes from new hire to termination, embracing a culture of growth and development
Efficiently and accurately process bi-weekly payroll
Develop and implement effective talent and performance management strategies to meet business objectives.
Implement employee retention programs and practices to establish positive employee-employer relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
Manage projects, analyze data, make recommendations, organize teams including team input, and plan the HR components associated with a high growth business.
You will report into the CFO of Starved Rock Wood with a dotted line to the VP of HR at CL Enterprises. This is currently an individual contributor role.
