We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager, who can act as a partner to business leaders and Talent Acquisition team to manage global immigration and payroll services.
This is a sole contributory role that will centrally manage the global immigration filings, payroll services and the vendors that support Stash, and deliver projects to improve cost, quality, policy, compliance, and experience for HR services at Stash.
As a part of a People team who aims to enhance every aspect of the employee lifecycle at Stash, the Operations team is high impact. We’re Analysts and Project Managers in charge of people services. Our role is to ensure everyone at Stash has a thoughtful, thorough and efficient experience, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. We develop the reports that people want to read, provide the info people need, and answer the questions they have not yet considered.
We’re in high growth mode and need someone excited by building operational processes, managing SLAs, cost and scope of services for work done globally at the level of granularity that we are able to employ for our services.
What you’ll do:
HR General Services & Employee Support (70%)
Manage incoming requests from employees. Solve or route to appropriate HR team
Partner with the HR team on projects and initiatives. This includes
performance management,
technology implementations, including rollout and change management
process design and improvement,
benefits enrollment, and
ad hoc projects
Immigration Services (10%):
Support immigration programs that enable Stash to produce immigration petitions at scale. Create process documentation with a mindset and culture of continuous improvement.
Support the relationship with Immigration Attorneys in the US & UK. Create tracking mechanisms that measure overall effectiveness and timeliness of Immigration services in the US & UK.
Review and audit existing processes to ensure Immigration law compliance and work with the team to update processes when new policies or regulations are announced
Continually identify areas of redundancy or non-value add to ensure process, procedure.
Global Payroll (10%):
Support and maintain, and review payroll processing vendors in US & UK to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes registrations.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Ensure 100% accuracy of employee final pay, by analyzing current challenges to identify opportunities, driving inter-team process improvements (Finance & HR), building and standardizing process controls.
Support current vendor relationships and champion the transformation required to deliver PEO Exit.
Success in this role will involve driving cross-functional partnerships to identify, design and implement value added efficiency workflows to achieve delivery of an associate’s final pay.
Leave of Absence Management (10%):
Serve as a point of contact for Stash employees to provide eligibility information, including reviewing documentation, filing leave benefits in compliance with the corresponding leave plans, federal and state laws and Stash benefit plans.
Address and respond to sensitive situations. Respond to issues that may arise during the leave event and ensure the right communication occurs
Facilitate a smooth return to work and ramp-back plan for employees returning to the workplace
Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation.
What we’re looking for:
Successful record of building, improving, and running operational business processes, and the ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction
Strong analytical skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive decisions
Broad set of skills ranging from high-level thinking, to effective decision making when faced with tradeoffs between schedule, resources and scope
Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances – solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
Excellent written and verbal communications – ability to interface with all levels of the organization
