Job Duties:
Transports vehicles and equipment including but not limited to loaders, dozers, motor graders, large trucks, large trailers, variable message boards, cone trucks, power booms, water tankers, rollers, oil boots, attenuators and any other similar equipment. Includes the required maintenance checks, minor servicing to comply with the laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Pick up and dispose of trash, delivers equipment/materials to work sites, shovel various materials from truck beds.
Delivers, spreads, and/or shovels surfacing material aggregates to roadways to fill holes, rakes and levels, lays oil and rolls for finished surface. Dispense various liquids, asphalt and chemical products. Spreads material with belly dump trailer to build shoulders.
Detects unsafe conditions, changing speed limit and rendering assistance to the traveling public as necessary. Repairs, replaces, and cleans delineator posts, reflectors, and other marking devices. May call out emergency road repair, cleaning equipment and crews to assist in removing hazardous conditions
Processes and performs day to day work activities as requested by supervisors, superintendents, and managers, assist/track UNIT’s, data entry in PeCoS work program.
May assist in training other employees in the HOT series.

Selective Preference(s):
Preference of six year experience in related field.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must hold an Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) for a manual transmission (no automatic restriction) N endorsement and no restrictions of O and E. Must maintain through duration of time in these classifications.
A medical/physical evaluation and drug test is required prior to appointment.
