JOB SUMMARY:
The Florida Department of Revenue, Information Services Program, is seeking a qualified professional to fill the elevated role of Configuration Manager with a Change Manager and Release Management backup role in IT Service Management. The incumbent is required to work in conjunction with internal and external customers to identify and define various components and items using the Configuration Management Database tool. This position will serve as the process manager and is required to ensure that any proposed changes to configuration items (e.g., software updates, hardware upgrades) go through a formal change control process. This process typically includes communication, documentation, review, approval, and tracking of changes. Candidate will represent the configuration process during all internal and external audits. In addition, the incumbent will monitor the configuration management dashboard and communicate with all service owners regarding change request to assess risk, impact, requirements, benefits, feasibility, costs, impact, urgency, scope, and stakeholders. The incumbent will also train peers in the configuration management process.
