DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand, articulate and document the vision and scope of the agency’s learning objectives.
Assist in the development courses and learning interventions, integrating a variety of adult instructional techniques.
Assists in the research, planning, designing and implementation or utilization of external training offering of evidence-based clinical training programs in areas of trauma-focused care including trauma informed screening, assessment, diagnosis and patient-centered treatment planning and treatment delivery.
Assists in researching, planning, designing and implementation of a Cultural and Linguistic Competency Program for staff utilizing the resources from HHS -Think Cultural Health.
Assists in developing a mental health and self-care resource guide for DeKalb CSB staff.
Provides reports and updates regarding staff certification, re-certification, and license requirement.
Perform task analysis to identify appropriate training resources and procedures.
Determine and ensure the use of proper design methods, materials, student support systems, teaching methods, learning strategies, and assessment techniques,
Conduct evaluations of instructional programs.
SKILL, COMPETENCY AND EDUCATION AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in human services field (such as counseling, criminal justice, sociology, social work, etc.) AND at least two years’ experience in a behavioral health setting. Candidates should be able to work well with a team, be self-directed, and demonstrate excellent judgment. Adept at creating assessments, including situational and scenario-based questions, that contribute to the mastery of learning. Other required competencies include: outstanding written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization, including senior level executives. Peer leadership and influencing traits are essential. Ability to think outside the box to identify effective solutions, to consider the big picture as well as the details, and the ability to create instructional strategies that support organization business metrics is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of related experience in clinical training and staff development. Experience with Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate and Flash (or equivalent e-learning development tools); audio and video editing tools; LMS Systems (Relias), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; and HTML (particularly as used in the development of instructional content) is also preferred. Certifications in First Aid/CPR, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety

Must demonstrate teamwork, organizational commitment as well as exceptional customer service to staff, co-workers, internal and external customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to lift boxes or carry files (no more than 20 lbs) May have to travel to other DeKalb CSB sites if needed.
